Manual harvest followed by traditional pureeing fermentation including the grapes for long-term aging potential by preserving valuable phenols. Fermentation in wooden barrels lasted approximately 28 days. Aged in French barrique barrels for about 18 months, Agé sur lie, meaning maturation on the fine lees to enhance the delicate, soft aromas. As the name suggests, Frühburgunder comes from the Burgundy family and is a natural mutation of Pinot Noir. Since the red wine ripens two weeks earlier than its 'big brother,' it was named accordingly. In the 1950s, the Frühburgunder vine was nearly extinct and was subsequently restored in the 1970s through targeted conservation measures by the Geisenheim Wine Institute.

Taste : A dark ruby red and fruity aromas such as cherry, blackberry, black currant, raspberry, as well as smoky notes.
