The focus? Pinot Noir. In 2007, when Catherine Marshall's wines were already marketed worldwide, she chose to shift her attention towards Elgin. With the grapes from this cool climate area, both white and red wines are produced, with a fresh and aromatic feel. The grapes Catherine works with the most are Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The wines resulting from this are presented in three lines: Fine Art Collection, Catherine Marshall Wines, and Amatra. She is internationally acclaimed for her wines, particularly for her Chenin Blanc which she ferments in handmade clay amphoras! Catherine Marshall Wines is the first wine range in South Africa named after a female winemaker.
