Potzinger Pinot Blanc Tradition

The Pinot Blanc variety is very closely connected to our winery. This variety was already being cultivated in 1860 when our family took over the winery in Ratsch. Over the past 160 years, we have established a reputation for this variety of the highest quality. Recently, in 2019, we achieved first place with this variety in the two most important wine competitions in Styria. Normally, we bottle only one – excellent – traditional wine from our Pinot Blanc vineyards in Ratsch, am Kittenberg, Kainberg, and Kitzecker Steinriegel. Only in special years is a small quantity from the over 40-year-old Kittenberg vines specially bottled for the hotels and restaurants of Dietrich Mateschitz. The grapes for this wine come from some of the best vineyards in Southern Styria for this variety; each vineyard is hand-harvested at optimal ripeness. The individual wines are then blended in winter to create a wonderful unique wine.
