Gradis'ciutta

The winery Gradis'ciutta was born in 1997 when Robert Princic, then 20 years young, decided to give a name to the piece of land where his father and grandfather had been growing grapes for years. It was Robert who decided to translate the passion, the grapes, and the terroir into a brand. The name is based on a small village in the heart of Collio, close to the Slovenian border. Today, the winery has about 25 hectares of vineyards spread over 35 hectares of land. Robert, with the support of his tireless parents, has already won many awards with his breathtaking range of wines.
At Gradis'ciutta, nature is central. It is therefore not surprising that they are fully organically certified. However, this is easier said than done, as there is between 1000 and 1400 millimeters of rain per year. This makes it particularly difficult to consistently work organically, which Robert Princic has been doing since 2008. He was the first to start with this in the area, the pioneer of Collio. To make this possible, science is used. Constant monitoring of meteorological control units ensures that they can anticipate and intervene correctly without damaging nature. Meanwhile, they even use a renewable energy source and have built beehives to help nature a little!
